Sheep
There are always sheep around – mostly black-faced ones. They are around the house at lambing time and in winter. The rest of the time they are up the mountains behind the house. They are often marked with these mad psychedelic colours - which are not at all what you'd expect. They always seem quite curious as to why we're there and stare quizzically at you (OK, well sometimes I talk to them when I'm taking photos and maybe that's why they're staring really! Do make sure to close gates properly so they don't wander.
They can keep an eye on everything because they have the best views...
There are also Kerry cows - which are black and lovely... and horses... and jellyfish!
March 2012 - we saw some wild goats down from the mountains with their kids!
